Healing Fibromyalgia

Please investigate all the natural healing methods, especially including healing foods. Self-healing is possible in fact it is very likely if you apply the different methods that we suggest here. Healing is a multifaceted process. It can be overwhelming when you began. At a time and work it. Don't try to do too much at once.

Fibromyalgia And Diet

People suffering from the chronic pain of fibromyalgia usually go from doctor to alternative healing clinics to holistic practitioners looking for relief. Doctors usually name chronic painful conditions by noting similar symptoms and signs. You are then placed in the category of fibromyalgia. Once your condition is named it brings you no closer to a cure or relief of your pain. Your doctor does not know the cause of your illness and the treatment is usually muscle relaxants, pain killers, antidepressants, or tranquilizers which do nothing to heal you.

There is hope. The chronic pain of fibromyalgia can be due in part to an unhealthy diet. Why not find out if you were chronically ill or not. Try a completely clean diet for four weeks. See what happens. Eat a completely animal free, oil free diet and see if there is some relief to be had.

Start with a 21 day plan of completely raw vegetables and fruit diet. Supplement with carrot and green (wheat or barley) juice. After three weeks add cooked starches back to your diet. Things like baked potatoes, oatmeal, beans, legumes, and whole grains.

There will be many other benefits besides pain relief. Your blood chemistry will change dramatically. Cholesterol will lower. Your blood glucose will normalize. You will probably see a drop in weight. Everything will start to normalize.

There is a real hope. Patients with fibromyalgia have been shown to improve greatly on a vegan diet. Here are two recent studies that show great benefits:

Kaartinen K. Vegan diet alleviates fibromyalgia symptoms. Scand J Rheumatol. 2000;29(5):308-13.

Donaldson MS. Fibromyalgia syndrome improved using a mostly raw vegetarian diet: An observational study. BMC Complement Altern Med. 2001;1(1):7.

Try something that is cost free and nontoxic. This can be beneficial to all aspects of your health. Add a little exercise and clean up all your bad habits. Many people have found that they can pick the days that they feel well and those that you are willing to feel sick and in pain.
